A-D Ketoconazole Shampoo 1%. Non-prescription strength. The freedom will go to your head. Made in Italy. helps prevent recurrence of flaking and itching associated with dandruff.
Active Ingredient: Ketoconazole (1%). Inactive Ingredients: Acrylic Acid Polymer (Carbomer 1342), Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Cocamide MEA, FD&C Blue No. 1, Fragrance, Glycol Distearate, Polyquaternium-7, Quaternium-15, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Water.
Before use read all label information. If you have a drug reaction, contact a doctor. Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Over: Wet hair thoroughly. Apply shampoo, generously lather, rinse thoroughly. Repeat. Use every 3-4 days for up to 8 weeks or as directed by a doctor. Then use only as needed to control dandruff. Children Under 12 Years: Ask a doctor. Controls flaking, scaling and itching associated with dandruff.
WARNINGS:
For external use only. Do not use on scalp that is broken or inflamed; if you are allergic to ingredients in this product. When using this product avoid contact with eyes; if product gets into eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash appears; condition worsens or does not improve in 2-4 weeks. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a doctor before use. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

gives great relief to severe dandruff

I always had healthy hair, but i believe i contracted seborrheic dermatitis from my husband, through a fungus called malassezia. For the past 2 years, i have been very uncomfortable from the itching, and embarrassed from the obvious red flaking around my scalp. no shampoo's seemed to help. head & shoulders was way too harsh, and made my scalp feel tight & parched. my doctor prescribed to my husband and i, the prescription version of nizoral, which worked wonderfully. we have kept up with this version of nizoral, with great results. it is the only relief i have found, although i don't love the idea of putting foreign chemicals on my head every day, it is worth it.

I was so skeptical of this because my head was so bad,... scalp flaking off in big chunks, always itching, red and bloody spots, I couldnt believe I had any scalp left by the end of the day, seriously. Nothing ever worked, but only seemed to make it worse. I was so skeptical Nizoral would be any different but I tried it anyways. I was so amazed at the effect it had on my scalp. It was almost an immediate improvement and after the second or third time the flakes and itching dissappeared almost completely. I am so thankful I found this product. If you're a die hard head skeptic, please just give this a try. It really works, what I thought was an impossibility, it did!!

Not Your Ordinary Dandruff Shampoo!

Ever since I was in elementary school I have had a problem with dandruff. And as time went on, it only got worse. At first, like everyone else I'm sure, used "Head and Shoulders". But by the 3rd day after washing my scalp with it, the itching and flakes would come back. I used "Neutrogena T-Gel", and it was more effective than "Head and Shoulders", but it smelled like tar! Even after blow-drying my hair. How embarrassing to walk around with hair smelling so strong! After a while I stopped using dandruff shampoos and would put a green tee treatment on my scalp. It wasn't great, but I had to use something.
