Our Story

When Jeff Smith and Kevin Plumb, owners of MedSource Rx, had to throw away $30,000 in expired diabetic test strips, it was a bad day. They hated wasting supplies that thousands of people need and use, and they hated dumping money that they could be using to build a better company. That was when the idea for Overstock Drugstore was born. Built on the foundation of an established company that sold wholesale to pharmacies, it gave them a way to get good products—things that were overstocked, a few months from expiration, or packaged before a redesign—to the people who needed them. From there they evolved into something else: a discount company that put customer experience first.

At Overstock Drugstore, our first priority is to give you a great experience every time you shop.
